The Oneness Center Taipei is part of a global foundation called the Oneness University. This University was established in 1990 and has now touched the lives of an estimated 25 million people in over 120 countries today. It was founded by Sri Bhagavan and Sri Amma who say that the only solution to human suffering can be found through enlightenment, the state of deep inner peace, freedom and oneness. According to Sri Bhagavan, enlightenment cannot be achieved by an individual without higher help or divine intervention. As Sri Bhagavan and Sri Amma have the vision and ability to grant this state to any genuine seeker, they do this through the transfer of energy or grace, called "deeksha". This energy is a universal energy passed through their trained guides, who then pass it to the people.
