After deeksha, at first the state of peace, harmony and love seemed spontaneous. When these feelings began to grow and to stay with me for long periods I started paying attention to them. Suddenly my heart got filled with love towards all people, those who I knew and those who just walked past me. Nowadays I wake up in the morning in a state of causeless joy. Judgments of "good" and" bad" have disappeared, each event is just what it is, I do not try to give it meaning. And in my soul there is peace. Even in my behavior there is peace. I no longer seek to create my spiritual breakthrough or try to convince others of my views.

Deep inside I feel balanced, peaceful and a love that grows in intensity each day. Many things from the outside don't bother me anymore.

As I write, fountains of joy are bubbling up through my body and into these words. Since returning from the five-day process in February, I have been working every single week in the corporate world!   I trust it's a little happier than before. The preparatory meditation created a very powerful energy in the room. During the deeksha ceremony I could feel very clearly how a golden ball of energy descended from above down into me, releasing energies as it settled in the lowest spot. This power then rose up in me and radiated a feeling of indescribable bliss, joy and peace. Although I have been practicing meditation and yoga daily for the last 12 years, I never achieved such a breakthrough, only this "golden ball "made it possible. Particularly fascinating was when the ascending power connected with the "antaryamin", the divine self. I felt its presence inside me with such clarity and at the same time I had many insights into the nature of this divine self. I am aware that thanks to these deekshas, I have made a huge step. Personal experience of enlightenment: A trip to India

Mitchell Rabin is an American therapist in New York. He is now completing his second book. He speaks here about his experience after his enlightenment process at the Oneness University in India.

For the first time in my life, I felt that I could get rid of all of my "spiritual" books. Now I could speak or write them. I recognized that having them and reading them was a compensation for what I hadn't been in touch with inside myself. ...After deeksha, I was the center of my experience. Perhaps the best way to describe it is that I was in a state of knowing. Everything that would have been considered happening "outside" me was now happening "inside" me. I was in an utterly awake state. Life was the book itself. It was that a part of my brain, dormant by and large until then, got awakened.

Meditation, Tai-Chi, Chi-Kung and other forms of inner work have ripened my being and have brought me into subtlest states of awareness that are awake, clear and centered but nothing of this level.

Now, an inner knowing and seeing occurs throughout the day. It disappears when I get too busy, mental or preoccupied. But then it comes back later on, or the next day. Each day, there is a sense of this presence, ebbing and flowing. It must be said that it's very simple, it's just a core good feeling, in touch with a vibration that yields sweet honey in the form of love, and pressing out the expression of gratitude, with awareness that all is here, right now. The feeling inside is precious. Something, like a well-watered seed, is growing in me, and I am deeply, deeply grateful.

When enlightenment came to Sweden - about Anette Carlström

Excerpts from an article by Marie-Thérèse Charperntier (Swedish Journalist)

Anette Carlström is a 42-year old mother of two children who offers Deeksha Workshops in Europe. Anette is moved to tears when she revives the experience that changed her life in such a radical way.

"I experienced a golden ball that was dropped into me, and it made my neck spin around a bit when the energy was in my head; then it went down into my chest and filled my whole heart and at last it landed in my stomach where it completely exploded in warmth and nourishment ... can't really find any words for it ... like a honey-gruel that filled my entire stomach with nourishment ... so satisfying and lovely ... so sweetly and wonderful ... all of me was in stillness and joy ... I couldn't move ... even though there was so much noise around, my attention was not bothered by this. It was like when I looked into my daughter's newborn eyes ... nothing could take this away from me..."

She says that from that initiation moment her life hasn't been the same. The stillness, peace and inner joy that she experienced in connection to the initiation has stayed with her. Anette experiences that something physical has changed within her, in a very tangible way. It is like "a living fire" in her chest.

"An energy center in my head radiates peace all the time, irrespective of outer circumstances. And along the spine there is this energy of warmth running that has an electrical feeling. There is an ecstatic presence of joy and love that exists in every cell in my body. In the heart there is this presence of something so big and beautiful - you get dazed like it is the first love that ever happened."

Anette says that she now "experiences the world", as instead of "the world experiencing her", as it was before. With this she means that before for example she could worry about what people should think about her, something that isn't interesting anymore. She also says that she doesn't want to miss a single moment of what is happening around her, no matter what it is.

She definitely dismisses the usual occurring perception that the enlightened state should be an escape from reality. She feels totally present in every situation and experiences the world and everything that happens around her fully, to 100 %. She adds: "In this state there is no longer any possibility to experience things as really boring or be affected in a negative direction. That way to experience reality is no longer available. She says, "This 'power of grace' is a mystery that lies beyond the mind's capacity to understand. It is something that has to be experienced".

The Gift of Grace in Africa  

Freddy Nielsen, is the first European disciple of Sri Bhagavan. The Oneness University has recently began their work in Africa. Freddy who has conducted the first of these deeksha gatherings, describes here the experience of the African people in Tanzania.   This is the first gathering in the world where all the people who received deeksha got the enlightenment state in less than 6 hours.

I was so touched by the simplicity, honesty and purity of these beautiful people. It was such a wonderful flow in the course, they absorbed everything I said with rapt attention.   I explained to them that all of them were suffering from a donkey sitting on their neck and controlling their lives, and that this donkey was the unconscious mind.   So in the end of the course, I did my usual thing of getting the statistics. Before this I had explained to them for 5 minutes or so what the freedom state is: no negative thoughts or emotions, and however much people will scold or criticize you, suffering and inner conflict is impossible and that this state is very much beyond very deep peace, and one feels completely free inside, like a heavenly bird.

There were 42 Africans left when I asked how many got the Freedom state, when I did, everybody raised their hands.   And then I asked them how many of them had one of the two higher states, the union with God, where there exists no you, no me, but just God everywhere as well as Oneness state, where the individual "I" has merged with life, you are in everything, and the harmony, satisfaction and bliss is total. Believe it or not, 22 raised their hands, that is around 52,5 % of the people. This is the highest ever that I had. Before the record was 16 % and that was in Russia. So 100% got the enlightened state in less than 6 hours. We will see how many will be able to keep it, and how many got it as a peak experience that will slowly mature into a permanent state.

I told them that I wanted to thank them with all my heart that they all gave me a fair chance to prove that anyone in Africa can get full freedom from inner suffering. I was so touched that I began to cry, that this tremendous state could be given to ALL the people, since this was the first time this ever happened in my courses. I just asked them from within for the deeksha to remove all suffering and darkness in the people, and make them fully enlightened and one with the Light. And it happened!!!!! No words can ever describe the gratitude and reverence I feel for them.
